    Big Budget Bollywood Film Drop In Revenue Due To Lockdown

    The Bollywood industry has faced big losses at the box office during this pandemic. Producers who had previously firmly stated their film’s release dates had been forced to alter their plans due to the covid19. Now vaccines are available and I hope the crisis will no more in near future.

    But here are the lists of the movies which have been released during the pandemic and suffered big losses.

    • Sooryavanshi  

    Filmmaker Rohit Shetty said on Thursday the release of Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, depends on the reopening of theatres across the country.

    The Movie was scheduled for release on March 24, but the makers later announced in June 2020 that the movie will hit screens during Diwali but it was postponed again and was set to arrive in cinema halls on April 30.

    Budget: 80 Cr

    Approx. 1100 screens in the overseas market

    • Radhe: 

    Most Wanted Bhai was released worldwide on Eid 2021, on May 13. The movie directed by Prabhudheva, the film also stars Randeep Hooda, Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, and Gautam Gulati in key roles.

    Release Date: 13th May 2021

    Budget: 90-100 Crore

    Total Collection: 18.60 Cr

    • Thappad

    Lead By Taapsee Pannu, Thappad was a flop at the box office. Though the social drama managed to create a conversation around, it can’t achieve a budget. The story revolved around one message – you can’t slap a woman and expect that she ignores it.

    Budget:  35 Crores

    Total Collection: 30 Crores

    The movie got mixed reviews from critics. Viewers weren’t quite impressed with the loose storyline of the movie. However, Irrfan Khan gave us amazing moments throughout the movie. Angrezi medium lead by Irrfan Khan, Radhika Madan, Deepak Dobriyal, and Kareena Kapoor Khan Starrer.

    Budget:  35 Crores

    Total Collection: 9.36 Crores
